# MCP overview

> Use the current RISOS contract from a compatible AI client.

**Endpoint:** `https://risos.co/api/mcp`

RISOS MCP exposes exactly **six action tools, eight resource URIs/templates, and 10 Product prompts** generated from the same registries and services used by the app and REST API.

The six tools are intentionally small and explicit. They cover Ask, starting/inspecting Research, Explore, Monitor, and Reports without exposing provider routing or raw source controls.

Ask and Explore use current intelligence only. Starting paid Research is always an explicit `start_research_job` action.

All MCP sessions require `mcp:use` plus the capability scopes needed by the selected tool or resource.
